So, Kevin has been telling me that he has coupons for dinner at certain restaurants that we can use for a date night and eat rather inexpensively. We have been talking about this for about 3 weeks so last night the conversation below happened:
Cassie: Did you find those coupons for dinner so we can go eat one night?
Kevin: They are probably expired by now
Cassie: But, did you find them?
Kevin: I think they are only for Monday nights.
Cassie: Did you find them, yes or no?
Kevin: (Giggling) They are in my office or in my briefcase
Cassie: So, you haven't found them?
Kevin: They are in my briefcase, I think
Cassie: I know what my next blog entry will be tomorrow (he just read the other one last night)
Kevin: nuh uh, I know what mine will be too, my wife is a hooka.
Cassie: You don't have a blog and if you did, I would have to set it up for you, tell you how to do it and remind you of your password every time you wanted to blog and I am not going to do that. So, good luck with your "my wife is a hooka" blog.
Man, I love it. I love how different we all our and how we are still able to communicate most of the time and laugh about it when we can't. Sense of humor is so important, especially when you have kids. Sallie stuck her hand in Kevin's coffee (while I was holding it) and all I could do was laugh at how sticky her hand was and how she flung it all over me and my newly changed clothes. Good times.

Sallie on the farm
We really wanted to get some time out of town and we knew it had to be something simple and cheap. So, we decided to go to the "farm" in Gray. This "farm" is where Kevin grew up and the house that his family built way back in the 60s is still there. It is really nice there, very quiet, lots of trees, lots of birds and bugs. Technically it isn't a farm, not like the farm I grew up on, but it is in the country and it is definitely like livin the simple life. We had a great time.
Sallie Rose really enjoyed it. She could sit in front of the big windows and look out and see all of the trees. Kevin and I really, really enjoyed. We relaxed, didn't worry about the state of the economy or our finances, cooked out, didn't bathe often, and visited with our friends Jacade, Rebecca, Millie and cousin Danny. We will probably try and get out there more often. I need a pool if I am going to spend a lot of time there.

Baby Sports Ilustrated
Sallie Rose is 7 months old today and has officially started her career as a swimsuit model. We got a frog pool for the backyard and we finally got to use it today. We only stayed in about 10 minutes, because it started raining again.
Sallie has began the crawling process, but is still quite a ways to actually start crawling. She knows that she wants to move to things on her own, but doesn't know how yet. I think she will be crawling within the next few weeks. She has to spend more time on her tummy in order to that and she does not like being on her tummy.
She is standing pretty well by herself when she holds on to something. And of course Kevin thinks she won't crawl, but instead go straight to walking. What's so wrong with crawling??? He holds her hands and they walk around the room. She does really well, but she will crawl before she walks. It's part of the process. He always wants to break the rules.
She is still very small comparatively, but tall. I think she is just a thin baby. She still has all her hair as you can see from the pictures. I have had to cut it 3 times. She is so funny, she is so small, but has a full head of woman hair.
She giggles quite a bit now. I have a fake laugh that I do so that she will laugh and then we just laugh because the other one is laughing. She is pretty cranky at times. The weekends are good, but come Monday night she yells at me the minute I walk in the door until she goes to bed. It has become quite humorous, because I know nothing is wrong she is just communicating the only way she knows how. I think it is important to not give her exactly what she wants and make her yell a little. I think she is already testing the waters to see how fast and how much she can get of our attention and food.
She is a good baby girl and we are still loving her more and more everyday we get to wake up to that beautiful, two teeth smile.

Difference between men and women
I asked Kevin to clean the hall bathroom since he is the one who primarily uses it. I really don't want our guests to have to use it if it is dirty. So last night Kevin and I had the following conversation:
Cassie: "Did you clean the bathroom yet?"
Kevin: "yes"
Cassie: " Did you sweep?"
Kevin: "no"
Cassie: "Did you use the toilet cleaner and clean the toilet?"
Kevin: "hmmmm...no"
Cassie:"Did you clean the bath tub/shower?"
Kevin: "Yes!!"
Cassie: "Did you clean it with Clorox cleaner?"
Kevin: "No"
Cassie: "What did you CLEAN it with then?"
Kevin: (smiling, hesitantly answering) "Bar soap"
Cassie: no words just laughing
Kevin: "That's cleaning it. I even cleaned the walls of the shower."
Cassie: "With bar soap?"
Kevin: "I am not going to tell you what I cleaned it with."
He never told me, but I suspect he used one of my nice bath and body works bubble baths. Man, I love him. He tried, right??
