Sallie Rose's comings and goings

This week has been very tiring already. Sallie rose started ballet on Monday and she really liked it, but since she has school in the morning and ballet in the afternoon and we have a dinner club on Monday nights, we were exhausted. Then, Tuesday she got to have a 2 hour nap, but that is my work day so I missed out on the first 2 hour nap since Christmas!

Today, we did all again, except for instead of school, we went to the mall to meet her friend for her birthday lunch, then ballet, and last Church supper and choir practice for her. She went to bed at 7:45 and I am already in bed as I type.

I was ready for her to have another activity outside of Church, but I am not sure about this twice a week ballet class. Plus, it's only 30 minutes long and that doesn't give me enough time to even run an errand so I just sit in my car. There is a nail place next door and I see a lot of pedicures in my future. Can they even do those in 30 minutes?

It is all worth it, she loves the class and the other girls and she will have a recital in may, that I am sure will be a tear jerker for me.

In other news, no baby name, but the baby is doing great and so far everything is looking good. Sallie Rose told me this morning that she wants to help feed her and I said ok, but then she said she wants to get up in the middle of the night to help feed her. She was so sweet and sincere, it made me cry. She is really excited. She needs a playmate. She needs one so bad that I had to buy a kitchen timer to help her understand that sometimes she has to play by herself for 10 minutes while mommy does the dishes. She also needed it to help her know when rest time was over so she wouldn't lay in her bed for 20 minutes yelling "mommy is it time to get up?". We got a piggy and it worked well today. She did play by herself for about 15 minutes until the timer went off.

Busy weekend

I've been busy. Getting ready for that new baby girl, Www.Redtopworkshop.wordpress.com.

And I raked the leaves, oh and I sat down and read a book. Not the whole book, but more than 5 pages. For those of you who know me well, you know I don't really "read books" unless you consider US weekly a book.

I'm also working on the planning for urban hope's 2nd annual fund raiser, that's a lot of leg work, phone calls, and begging for people to participate.

These next few months will go by so quickly and then before we know it, we will be a family of four! Five counting our dog, Casey.

Here is a drawing Sallie Rose did at church and the purple one is baby sister in mommy's tummy.

Baby sister

Here is the latest picture of our baby sister. 22 weeks and counting. Sallie rose is getting a little impatient on waiting on her to arrive. She cried the other day when telling me she wanted the baby to come now. Poor Sallie Rose!

I forgot to mention...

We found out Christmas morning that we will be having another little girl. We are pleased and excited, of course, and now we just need to start thinking of a name. That's the hard part.

I am actually a little relieved that we will be able to use all of sallie's clothes that I have saved and that sallie rose will have a sister.

The ultrasound showed that everything is going well for the little girl and that she is growing as she should be, thanks be to God. That is the best news of all.

Within in a week of Christmas

Sallie Rose and I are so excited that we are within a week of Christmas. We head to Texas on Wednesday and then the real fun begins.

Sallie has asked us almost everyday if it was Christmas morning yet. She is so confused about the date, but she will soon find out when Christmas morning is. She can't wait to see if Santa brought her a Minnie Mouse doll.

I have to say, I just caught her digging into one of my favorite candles and had it all over the rug and ruined the candle, so Santa might be reconsidering her present. Errrrrrr....

Oh and today we go to the dr. for our 18 week sonogram. Yeah, can't wait to see the baby. We will find out the sex, but not til Christmas morning. I can't wait! I honestly have no preconceived ideas about whether it is a boy or girl. Either one is great and we just want a healthy baby!
